Delta-8 THC
Also known as: Delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinolDelta-8 THC is a cannabinoid whose structure is close to Delta-9, differing by the position of one double bond. It occurs naturally in only tiny amounts, so most commercial Delta-8 is converted from hemp-derived CBD.

Safety
Because Delta-8 is usually made by chemical conversion, unregulated products can contain residual solvents, heavy metals, or unlisted cannabinoids. A third-party Certificate of Analysis matters here more than most.
Interactions
Like other forms of THC, it can add to the effects of alcohol and sedatives.
Who should avoid
People who are pregnant or nursing, under 21, or subject to drug testing (it can trigger a positive result) should avoid it.
